Distinguished and Famous people from Burnett Heads
🌟 Marj Kidd
Marj Kidd helped preserve and explain Burnett Heads' maritime history. As secretary of the Burnett Heads Progress and Sports Association, she prepared the successful submission that led to the old lighthouse's entry on the National Trust register in 2002. She also compiled the Burnett Heads Heritage Trail in 2006. Her contribution was the research and organisation behind making familiar local landmarks better understood. The lighthouse had already been moved from its original position in 1972; documenting its story helped keep its significance visible after its working life ended.
